Local Attractions


The Carolina Panthers are the NFL team of North Carolina. They play in the gorgeous Bank of America Stadium located in Uptown Charlotte.


 The Charlotte Hornets, largely owned by former NBA player Michael Jordan, are the professional basketball team of North Carolina. The Hornets play in the Spectrum Center in Charlotte.


The Charlotte Knights are a minor league baseball team located in Charlotte, NC. They play in the beautiful BB&T Ballpark in Uptown Charlotte.


The Kannapolis Intimidators are a minor league team with a 4,700 person stadium conveniently located in Kannapolis right off of Interstate-85.


Charlotte Motor Speedway is located 13 miles from Charlotte in Concord, NC. This speedway hosts some of the most popular Nascar races every year.


Blumenthal Performing Arts has six theaters under its umbrella; Belk Theater, Booth Playhouse, Stagedoor Theater, McGlohon Theater at Spirit Square, Duke Energy Theater at Spirit Square, and Ovens Auditorium.


The Old Courthouse Theatre is a locate attraction for fans of Broadway. This theatre is a volunteer organization that features many wonderful Broadway style musicals and plays.


Carolina’s Aviation Museum is located on the grounds of Charlotte Douglas International Airport. It features the “Miracle on the Hudson” exhibit with the original airplane that Captain Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger landed on the Hudson River.


The NC Research Campus is a beautiful construction that occupies 350 acres in Kannapolis, NC. The research campus focuses on nutrition, food, human health, and agriculture.

The Vietnam Veterans Park is located on Orphanage Road in Kannapolis. This gorgeous park has a scenic 1.2 mile walking trail, a boardwalk, 9 hole disc golf course, basketball courts, picnic areas, horseshoe pits, playgrounds, volleyball courts and bocce ball courts.
