Working With An Agent

Working with a real estate agent can be very beneficial to a buyer or seller. Real estate agents have access to a number of different resources and can provide useful services to you. Depending on the transaction, a real estate agent may be working with either the buyer or the seller. Sometimes, the seller and buyer may each have their own agent. Other times, the same agent may work with both the seller and buyer. It is crucial that you understand if the agent is working with you while acting as an agent to the other party or working for you as your agent.

This brochure highlights the different types of working relationships available to you. It provides information about how real estate agents are compensated, also it helps explain the different services real estate agents can provide sellers and buyers.

It is required by the NC Real Estate Commission that anyone coming in contact with a real estate agents understands the type of transaction they will have with the agent.
